Here’s a little about me!

Hi:) My name is Emme Hamlett Segler (she/her/hers) and I am a stage and production manager currently based out of Seattle, WA.

There are many aspects that I love about the arts and theatre. My primary goal within theatre and the arts is to cultivate a space where all members of the creative team feel valued, heard, and respected. As a stage and production manager, I want to foster a creative space where people feel safe, empowered, and confident in their craft.

I am a recent graduate from Texas Tech University with an M.B.A in General Business and a B.A. in Theatre Arts. After graduating from undergrad, I immediately went into a STEM M.B.A program to further aid me in my goal of arts administration and production management. With my backgrounds in psychology, theatre, and business I would like to build a career in live arts entertainment that combines creative collaboration, organizational leadership, and an understanding of human behavior to create meaningful and impactful audience experiences. During my undergraduate degree, I worked various theatrical positions including stage manager, assistant stage manager, dresser, spot op, board op, etc., but my favorite experience was working as a PSM on Next to Normal with Round Table Theatre Troupe. During this production, I was able to strengthen my communication and problem-solving skills while supporting a talented team of artists in bringing a beloved story to life, all within a fast-paced and collaborative professional environment.

Along with working in the arts, I worked as a consultant at the Texas Tech Undergraduate Writing Center for 3.5 years, where I helped teach and guide students through different forms of writing including educational, professional, and personal works. I also recently worked at The Center for Students in Addiction Recovery on campus, where I managed a group of student employees and helped plan Center events and schedules.

Although my life can feel very busy, I do try and find time for the things outside of school and work that bring me joy! One of my favorite past times is curling up on the couch with my spooky, black cat Frances and reading a good fantasy or literary fiction book. I am also an avid sewer, embroiderer, drawer, and painter. It doesn’t stop there though! I love spending time in the outdoors, especially if it involves white water rafting, hiking, or camping.
